Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Westway Digital collects through westwaydigital.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. Westway Digital is a brand of Westway Technology ("Westway," "we," or "us").

Information we collect

Information you send us. When you use our contact form, we collect what you enter: your name, email address and message, plus your company, website and the services you're interested in if you choose to share them. When you ask for a free audit, we collect your name, email address and the address of your website or app, plus anything else you tell us about it. We also note which page you sent the form from.

Forms you start but don't send. Our contact form has a few steps. When you continue past the first one, we save what you've entered so far (your name, email address, company and website), even if you don't send the form, and we may use it to follow up with you. If you'd rather we didn't keep it, tell us and we'll delete it.

Job applications. When you apply for a role, we collect what you send: your name, email address and resume, plus your phone number, current company, LinkedIn profile, how you heard about us and your answer to our question if you choose to share them.

Information sent automatically. Like any website, ours receives basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. We use your IP address briefly to limit repeated form submissions and protect the site from abuse. Our forms also use Cloudflare Turnstile, which looks at signals from your browser to tell people from bots before a form is sent.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site: which pages they visit, how long they stay, how they found us, and general details such as their device, browser and approximate location. Google Analytics collects this with cookies and similar technology, and we see it as reports about visitors overall.

Cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart and measure how the site is used. Our hosting provider may also set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from automated abuse. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

How we use your information

• To reply to your message, follow up when you start our contact form without sending it, and talk with you about your project
• To review job applications and contact applicants
• To understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it
• To keep the site running and secure
• To meet our legal obligations

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use what you send us for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the site and our business, and only as much as they need:

• Cloudflare, which hosts the site, checks form submissions for bots with Turnstile, and stores the messages, applications and resumes you send through it
• Our email provider, which delivers the notifications we receive when you send a message
• Google, which provides Google Analytics and processes usage data for us. Google explains how it uses that data in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business.

Links to other sites

The site links to other websites, such as LinkedIn and the sources we cite in our blog posts. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we're not responsible for how they handle your information.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form messages, including ones you didn't send, as long as we need them to respond to you and to manage any work that follows, and job applications, including resumes, as long as we need them for hiring decisions. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, unless we need to keep it for legal reasons. Google Analytics keeps usage data for the retention period set in our Analytics account.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Depending on where you live, local law may give you other rights too. To make a request, get in touch through our contact page. We'll reply within 30 days.

Security

We protect the information we hold with reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections. No way of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
